hey hey hey! long time no blog! hahaha... but this is gonna be a short one...
we shot a short film last saturday (entitled "wag mong mahawak-hawakan ang nanay ko"), a sort of sharon cuneta parody about this houseboy who likes watching sharon cuneta movies. because he is so into sharon, he decides to stand up for himself against his oppressive master...
...and then he dies...
it's braindead yes, but when you look about it, this is our take on how dumb society is getting... they see these icons all around and they think that they're all capable of being the star of their own Filipino underdog story... ...a delusion they think will carry through anything...
except it's not like that in the real world...
we (mostly I) edited it on sunday evening and didn't sleep so that i could attend my first day of work.
yes, you read right. WORK.
for the oblivious: i recently submitted an application at SITEL in Libis (which is a call center), because of the obvious frustration i feel about not graduating yet (and i need a new guitar, boohoo...)
Today marked the second day.
it's fun.
it isn't hard as bumfuck going to UP at all...
sometimes i wonder why i even went to college there at all... why i even went to college when work is so much easier and direct
work doesn't make you memorize cat parts and chemical equations.
work is about skills that are pertinent.
work doesn't have sadistic professors who hold your life in their hands.
work life isn't about getting into dentistry proper.
work pays you a lot of money twice a month.
work is actually fun.
